SQA (Scottish Qualifications Authority) is a national body responsible for the development, accreditation, assessment and certification of qualifications other than degrees. SQA aims to be recognized as a national and international leader in the delivery of qualifications and examinations.

ODLQC
ODLQC (Open and Distance Leaning Quality Council) is the British guardian of quality
in open and
distance learning. The government set up the ODLQC in 1968 to monitor and enhance quality in training and education.
Our ODLQC accreditation confirms that our courses have been through and passed a rigorous assessment, showing that we conform to the strict standards of the ODLQC. We are regularly inspected to make sure our courses continue to meet this high standard.

College of Teachers
TEFL Wales is an Institutional Member of The College of Teachers. This means it is an organisation with an educational interest which has agreed to follow The College's Code of Professional Practice. The Code of Practice promotes professional behavior for members of the College. Central to the Code are respect for the individuality of the learner, and recognition of the collaborative nature of the profession of learning and teaching.

IATEFL
TEFL Wales as TEFL Scotland is a member of IATEFL (International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language). The IATEFL support the teaching profession through networks of membership and qualifications. Their aim is to link, develop and support English Language Teaching professionals throughout the world.

SATEFL
TEFL Scotland is a member of the Scottish Association for the Teaching of English as a Foreign Language (SATEFL).
SATEFL is a forum for teachers and trainee-teachers who meet up to discuss and exchange ideas on matters connected to TEFL.
